OBJECTIVES: False-positive results of anti-tissue-transglutaminase (tTG) IgA autoantibodies have been reported in subjects with a genetic risk for celiac disease (CD). The aims of this retrospective study were to assess the prevalence of false-positive tTG titers in patients at risk of CD compared with symptomatic children and to evaluate the influence of age and indication for testing on tTG 2017-03-19 2020-01-13 Cöliákia (tTG IgA, tTG IgG) Élettani, kórélettani háttér A cöliakia a teljes szervezetet érintő, glutén tartalmú fehérjék fogyasztásával provokált autoimmun betegség, … מה בודקים בבדיקת נוגדנים לטרנסגלוטאמינאז?

Tissue Transglutaminase Antibodies (tTG-IgA) – the tTG-IgA test will be positive in about 98% of patients with celiac disease who are on a gluten-containing diet. The test’s sensitivity measures how correctly it identifies those with the disease. The same test will come back negative in about 95% of healthy people without celiac disease.

The role of immunoglobulin A (IgA) anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies (IgA-tTG) as predictors of untreated celiac disease (CoD) is well documented, and the presence and levels of these antibodies are most accurately monitored with native or recombinant human antigens.

Tissue transglutaminase antibody levels predict IgA deficiency Our data provide a simple means of avoiding unnecessary total IgA measurements in the assessment of coeliac disease. Objective: Measuring serum tissue transglutaminase immunoglobulin A (tTG IgA) levels is the most widely used screening test for coeliac disease. However, given an increased prevalence of IgA deficiency among coeliac patients there is a risk of false negative results. Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) Antibodies (IgG, IgA) - Tissue Transglutaminase Antibody, IgA, is useful in diagnosing gluten-sensitive enteropathies, such as Celiac Sprue Disease, and an associated skin condition, dermatitis herpetiformis.
